What happens when a hungry Quebbie wakes up at 6:15am on a Sunday morning?
Let me tell you. I get stuff done. And when by 8am I had finished my lesson plan, prepared meals for the week, and done most of the laundry, I decided to go to Target to run some errands. And by that I mean, buy milk, Ziploc bags, and then browse the new fall items.
My love for Pumpkin Spice Latte developed about 5 years ago. It just tastes like fall. It makes you want to put on a pretty scarf and go walk through colorful fallen leaves.
I’m not the only one obsessed with making everything pumpkin-spiced and Target confirmed it. As I browsed the aisles, I picked up PS Mini-Wheats, PSL M&Ms and PS Hershey kisses. Additionally, a couple of weeks ago, I discovered that my favorite Christmas treat, the chocolate orange, now came in PS flavor. I bought and tasted all of these for science, of course.
Ovation Pumpkin Spice Break-Apart Chocolate
This was really tasty. Their pumpkin spice to chocolate ratio was on point. A successful addition to the pumpkin spice season.
Pumpkin Spice Mini-Wheats
I used to love Mini-Wheats. They were a special treat that my mom would only buy once in a while. I haven’t had them in years so there may be some nostalgia bias but they were very good. I think the pumpkin spice flavor could be a little bit stronger though. I know what I’ll be having for breakfast this week, that’s for sure.
Pumpkin Spice Latte M&Ms
These were honestly the biggest disappointment. I didn’t taste any pumpkin spice flavor. So they are basically as good as any other regular M&Ms. Nothing to fuss over.
Pumpkin Spice Hershey’s Kisses
As I bit into the first one, I remembered trying them before. Although a bit too sweet, they definitely embraced the pumpkin flavor. I love that they are a pumpkin color too!
See what happens when I wake up too early? I sugar-crash at 3pm. And what was that complaint I made all week about wanting to eat better and trying to lose weight? Well, I guess I’ll have to bring the chocolate to work and share with my co-workers! These pumpkin-spice treats are just too much for one PSL addict.
