It’s this time of the month again, folks! After days of impatience (can I post about it now? what about now?), I finally get to show you what I received in my foodie package this month!
This month was especially interesting as both of my matches were pretty familiar with Virginia. I sent my package to Sherri who lives in North Carolina. As she used to live in Virginia, I decided to do something different this month. Instead of sending her a local package as I often do, I decided to make her a Quebec package as a way to celebrate the upcoming (although now passed) Quebec National Day. As Sherri doesn’t have a blog, here’s what I sent her…

I received my package from Katie @ A girl, her Lab and their kitchen. She lives in Fredericksburg so just a couple hours away from here! My first thought was “What could she send me that I wouldn’t already know about?” Well, she found stuff. Delicious stuff. Katie went the local route as she sees the Foodie Pen Pal program as a way to encourage local vendors. Such a great way to use the program! So she sent me goodies made in her neck of the woods and the best part is that I’m close enough to go get more whenever I’ll visit my husband’s family! Win-Win!

Thank you so much to my match Katie for the delicious package! I loved all the local items, which always tend to be made with a little extra dose of small business love. 🙂
