Unfortunately, in February, I didn’t end up receiving a package. I’m not sure if it was ever sent or if it got lost in the mail but all I know is that I was pretty disappointed. Thankfully, my match did receive the box I sent her!
In March, I sent my package to Samalee who lives in Tennessee. She told me great stories about her French descendants but also about the amazing work that her and her husband do in Calcutta. I invite you to check our her blog Life from the Center of the Pie to learn more about it!
I was really excited to receive a package from Christina who lives in Texas. She sent me an amazing package, filled with homemade goodies and local treats. I received the package minutes before hitting the road to visit my in-laws and my drive was delayed as I had to try a few things IMMEDIATELY! 🙂

Right after this picture was taken, I ate a biscotti and cut a slice of lemon poppyseed bread. Both were so good…and homemade!
The chocolate covered coffee beans…oh my! I opened the bag thinking I would taste a couple. Five minutes later, the bag was empty. I still haven’t tried the shortbread crackers, the dark chocolate square and the Justin’s butters. I figured I needed to pace myself a little bit.
I took the peanut butter pretzel on my drive to Northern Virginia. They were seriously like drug-coated candy. And I’m talking sweet and salty tasty drug. Yum! And the pecans…well, it was another instance of wanting to try a few and finding an empty bag at my side a few minutes later. Oops!
The biscotti and lemon poppyseed bread were homemade and delicious! The biscotti was perfect with my morning coffee and the bread was perfect for any other time of the day. 😉
Thank you so very much to Christina for the deliciously lovely package!
