I just wanted to take a quick break in-between food comas to wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving. Being from Quebec, I didn’t know about the wonders of this holiday until a few years ago and, I’m not gonna lie, I embraced it with open arms! 🙂
Today (and all year long), I am thankful for my amazing husband, our loving families and my wonderful friends. I am also thankful for our two furballs, my pretty apron (inspiring me to spend more time in the kitchen) and my interest in running (which will hopefully minimize the feast damage!).
We enjoyed a delicious feast at my in-laws. Green collards, stuffing, green beans, turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and my favorite…sweet potato casserole!! Yum!! A few hours later, we also enjoyed a medley of pies: my mother-in-law’s pumpkin pie, my sister-in-law’s apple crumble pie and my maple pie.
I am now stuffed like a turkey and enjoying some cozy family time for the rest of the evening.
